Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP)
Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), ensure the continuous performance of campus’s critical functions and operations during an emergency. Plans include detailed procedures geared toward protecting essential facilities, equipment, records and other assets; reducing or mitigating disruptions to operations; reducing loss of life; minimizing damage; and achieving a timely and orderly recovery from an emergency and resumption back to normal business operations.
Numerous campus units are participating in the COOP process. For more information, contact Sgt. Kerri Miller at (608) 265-0022.

Access Control
Whether students and staff use metal keys, access cards or biometrics to access living and work areas, UWPD coordinates efforts to maintain standards of access at multiple levels across campus. Access Control and Access Cards provides definitions, descriptions and answers to frequently asked questions.
